What is Wowcher?
Wowcher is an online platform selling discounted experiences, products and services. Customers will purchase a voucher from their website which is redeemed directly through yours.
Setting up Wowcher in FuseMetrix.
In Booking Dashboard > Integration Settings > Wowcher, enter your username and password and tick 'Integration is Live', then Save. If you have multiple booking locations, the same credentials can be added for all locations, or separate credentials per location can be entered.
Set up Wowcher-specific products in FuseMetrix for anything you're selling via Wowcher - this is necessary as Wowcher activities should have no price, and is useful for if you need to limit the dates & times they can book using a yield, and report separately on Wowcher vs Standard bookings.
You will then need a Wowcher Agency customer. This is added in Customers > Add > Create a customer/company for Wowcher and set the Customer Type as Agency. If there isn’t an Agency Customer Type already, this is in System Setup > Marketing > Setup Customer Types > Add one in for Agency, then choose this from the dropdown for Agency customer type.
Wowcher will then provide you with a list of codes they've created for the campaign. On the list, each chunk of codes will have a corresponding Deal Name and Product ID. The Deal Name is what Wowcher are selling your product as, and the Product ID is how you tell the system which product in FMX that is.
In Agency Vouchers > Click Add at the top and select Wowcher as the agency company.
Voucher Name can be anything you like - the customer won't see this.
Agency Code is the Product ID provided by Wowcher.
Our Product is where you link up your FuseMetrix activity - this is what the customer will be booking when redeeming their voucher.
Save, and then repeat this for all products being sold via Wowcher.
Wowcher Redemption.
You will need to provide Wowcher with the link to your redemption page. We have two versions of this:
Single Redemption: *Your booking page URL*/booking/redeem_wowcher
Multiple Redemption: *Your booking page URL*/booking/redeemmultiplewowcher
Single redemption is recommended if your Wowcher products are bundles. Otherwise Multiple redemption allows the customer to enter multiple Wowcher codes and redeem them all at once.
To test the redemption process, Wowcher can provide you with some test codes for your existing campaign. Enter the code on your chosen redemption page, and ensure the product picked up matches the product the voucher code is for, and the availability matches your setup. We recommend testing at least once all the way through to ensure any booking fee settings are picked up, and that the order is generated correctly in the system.
Wowcher orders land in the system with a green 'Wowcher API Redeem Success' message on the order lines. These can be segmented using an order filter with the condition 'Order contains Wowcher api redemption success'.
To test individual codes, go to Booking Dashboard > Integration Settings > Wowcher > There’s a ‘Test’ button in the top corner. You can put in a code provided by Wowcher and it will let you know if it’s valid and what for. If the Product ID associated with the voucher code isn’t on FMX, it will tell you and display the Product ID at this point so it’s easy to identify the issue.
If the code says Invalid when testing, it’s usually due to it not being ‘Sold’ via Wowcher, so please ensure Wowcher have test-purchased any vouchers used for testing beforehand so they're available to the integration.
What to look out for:
Products show a price in the basket and ask for payment when redeeming Wowcher codes
All Wowcher products in FuseMetrix musn't contain prices - the money is all handled via Wowcher when they're redeemed using the API
No products with Agency Code [number] found
Check the Product ID's provided by Wowcher against the Agency Codes set up in Agency Vouchers. If Wowcher ever need to update anything their side eg product names, they sometimes re-make the campaign entirely so new product ID's are generated and need updating in FuseMetrix.
Voucher Invalid
Wowcher codes are only valid once they're sold on Wowcher's side. To test a code from the list they've provided, they will need to test purchase it first.
